Role: School Counselor 

I'm excited to be apart of your child's journey at Dabney Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year! It is a honor to support our students' academic, emotional, and social development throughout the year. I've enjoyed working at Dabney Elementary School for the past 2 years. I hold a Master's degree in Social Work from THEE Illustrious NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL UNIVERSITY. I have a deep passion for supporting students and families by helping them grow socially, emotionally, and academically. 

My Goal: To make sure everything student feels safe, valued and ready to learn. I support students in the area of: 

Individual and group counseling , Academic Success, Social-Emotional Learning, Conflict Resolution, Mental Health & Wellness

Fun Fact: Dr. Pepper is my favorite soft drink 

Ms. Sparacio

My name is Maria Sparacio, and I am the ESL teacher at Dabney. I was born and raised in Peru and also lived for 12 years in Italy, which shaped my cultural perspective. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Strayer University and am currently pursuing a TESOL certification at UNCG. Now in my second year at Dabney, I am committed to supporting  students and  families.

Ms. Elam

My name is Terri Elam, and I currently serve as a Receptionist and Records Keeper at Dabney, where I provide administrative support and ensure accurate record management. I am a dedicated professional with strong organizational and communication skills.
In addition to my role, I am pursuing an Associate Degree in Business Administration to expand my knowledge in business operations and strengthen my career path. Outside of work, I am a proud mother of two, balancing professional growth with family life.
